Welcome All children need a caring adult in their lives. Someone, other than their parents, who can broaden their horizons, introduce them to new activities, and guide them through day-to-day life with words of encouragement and friendly reassurance. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Warren County matches local children with adult, volunteer mentors in a mutually-rewarding, one-on-one friendship. Together, Bigs and Littles do simple, everyday activities, such as playing a game, going to the park, baking cookies, or watching a movie. Got Lunch Hour? Why not spend it doing Big Things!
Tired of having lunch at your desk or sitting in the office lunch room? Want to do something "Big" with one lunch hour a week? Big Brothers Big Sisters of Warren County's School-Based Mentoring programs could be your opportunity to make an impact on the life of a child. School-Based mentoring volunteers are Big Brother or Big Sisters who spend one lunch hour a week with their Little Brother or Sister at their school. The Big & Little spend the lunch period talking, listening, playing games, & just hanging out. Currently, BBBSWC has school-based mentoring programs in the Hackettstown, Washington Township, Phillipsburg, White Township and Belvidere school districts. To find out more or receive a volunteer application, please contact BBBSWC.
